Reasons a Rent Application Would Be Rejected

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

There are a number of reasons that a renter’s applicant might be rejected. Knowing what companies are looking for in your history is the first step in knowing if you might be able to rent from a company. If the company caters to a specific audience, like commercial property managers or property managers for students, such as many Transglobe buildings this may be a little different. In such a case you would need to direct your questions about Transglobe Property Management toward them, or toward the company you are thinking of renting from.

1. Bad Credit
This is one of the most often cited reasons why people are told that they can’t rent from a specific company. If someone has bad credit it shows that they don’t pay a lot of their bills on time.

2. Past Evictions.
This is another sign that someone has been a bad tenant. People are not usually evicted without there being a serious problem, either a lease violation or criminal activity will usually cause an eviction.

3. Criminal Record.
That brings to the next one. If there is a criminal record, it can be harder to find a place to live, but often for a good reason. The more serious the offense, the harder it is to find a place to live.

4. Income Levels
Most places have a minimum income level that must be met, often around twice the amount of the rent. This is reasonable because they don’t want you to risk not being able to pay the rent.

5. Pets.
While there are a number of places that will allow for pets with a number of extra dollars a month and a pet fee that might seem huge, there are also a number of places that will not rent to people who have pets.

Some places will work with a potential tenant if they have very good references, or if they have lived in the complex before, but you will have to check with them directly and work with them to find a place that works for you. A commercial management company will have very different reasons to reject a company, and should be consulted directly about what they are looking for in a tenant.

South Miami Plaza, Amsterdam

One of the most exciting things about traveling just might be the shopping. It’s a little embarrassing to admit, perhaps, and particularly so when traveling in a place where material things matter as little as they do in Amsterdam. The city’s progressive citizenry have a certain charm and intelligence that make the idea of living on less rather contagious. There are lots of good things that one brings back home from the Netherlands, and ideas and attitude shifts are pretty high on the list. If you do find yourself getting caught up in the notion of simplicity, you still might like to shop, just so you can bring back a few things for your friends and family.

However, it’s kind of easy to get caught up in all the cds you’ve forgotten about and always wanted when visiting the South Miami Plaza . This is one of those rare places where all the convictions in the world fall by the wayside in the hunt for new and old music. And the best part is that the goods themselves are very small, and easy to pack, and you could tuck it in the suitcase at your Amsterdam hotel , and still not be taking up any valuable space. That’s one of the most deceiving parts of buying cds and dvds, and it’s also part of the charm that makes it so enticing.

South Miami Plaza, to be sure, is not a tourist trap. It’s one of the favorite spots for locals, and has an excellent location in Amsterdam, connected to its main market, which is also worth looking at. But here, the attraction is music and movies, with the emphasis on the music. There are thousands of cds here, far more than is possible to go through in an afternoon, and likely even a week. International pop sensations along with local indie work are here, and much, much more. The prices are generally very cheap as well, making it a veritable treasure chest. Plus, one gets to meet more of the interesting and the funky folk who live here and travel through, making the world smaller but not necessarily easy to listen to.

Mannheim Naidoo

Coming into Mannheim by train, it’s not as easy to see the grid as it is when coming in by air, but there’s the sense of entering an unusual place in Europe. The state made of squares is a lively city that has a history of unusual things, including the first bicycle and the first automobile. Innovation and new ideas are a hallmark of German culture, and they’re certainly occupying a central position here. While it may not translate into any direct experience for a tourist, coming to enjoy the attractions in the city, it adds a wonderful bass note to a wonderful time.

There are plenty of things to accommodate the discerning traveler, including some excellent local hotels , great city tours, and fantastic restaurants. Like in most German cities, there is plenty to offer in the beer and brat category, and plenty of traditional delicacies, along with some magnificent Turkish restaurants in both economical and gourmet varieties. The most striking thing about the city, however, is its culture. Musically, there is a lot to enjoy, and with a little bit of footwork, and a little willingness to experience the language, the live entertainment is absolutely spectacular. With artists like Xavier Naidoo , this is no surprise.

This is the city that saw the birth of Mozart, after all, so the geographic pedigree is rather remarkable. Anyone listening to Naidoo for the first time might wonder why he hasn’t crossed over into more foreign-language markets, and this is the entry point into true world music. With a mother from South Africa and a father who is Indian, the singer’s roots are deep in musical traditions, and applying these to the local styles and sensibility for innovation, it’s an amazing thing to hear. He is a double platinum artist, having entered easily into multiple genres, including hiphop and R&B, where his voice plays into the traditional melodies with room for play and invention.
