No one rides without understanding that there are considerable risks involved. The odds of getting into an accident at least once in a lifetime are not insignificant, and although not everyone will need to get the help of a motorcycle accident injury attorney Fort Lauderdale has, it does happen. The severity of most motorcycle accidents is rather high, because of the obvious lack of protection from the vehicle.

At the same time, the odds of getting into an auto accident are much higher, and bad accidents are more common. Putting it a little more grimly, it’s far more likely to die in a car wreck . It’s not that motorcyclists are better drivers, but simply that they have a lot more to lose. The low, left hand salute that bikers share is not a hidden code about gangs or police. On the contrary, it is a reminder to the other rider to keep the eyes open all the time.

Bikers like to remind each other that they see each other, and this is a reminder that one should always keep looking in all directions. At the same time, while this serves as a reminder of one’s own mortality, it’s also something else. The sights and smells of the open road are exciting, and do indeed offer a glimpse into something that’s very much the opposite of mortality, and this is what keeps people riding.

I am a painter, and for so very long, just dreamed of living in a country and in a city that supported the arts and was quite frankly, entrenched in the arts. That is when I began looking into the possibilities of a move to Canada. I contacted a company that was recommended to me, TransGlobe Property Management. They manage many rental properties throughout Canada, and when I was trying to make my decision about just which city is was that I wanted to move to, a friend told me to give them a call.

I was amazed, for in this day and age, as hard as it is to believe, there are not many businesses around that provide anything close to customer service. But when I called TransGlobe, the man on the phone not only informed me of my rental options in different cities, but held a conversation with me discussing the various aspects of each city. He told me of the cities he lived in and the experiences he had traveling through the country.

He told me the best places to go for coffee, and he talked about his favorite restaurants. And it made me think about business, and people. A few months earlier I sat at the bank needing help with my account, and the banker was sending text messages as he was “assisting” me. And now, this man thousands of miles away, sat for an hour and a half talking to me about life, helping me to not only find an apartment, but to find a city, through his stories and his time.

As I stated, I am a painter. I do not make a lot of money, and while I was looking for a great apartment, I was also looking for a cheap apartment. TransGlobe Property Management was not going to make a lot of money from me renting from them. But that did not matter to the man on the phone. And I seem to think now, that it does not matter to them as a company. It is the people who matter at TransGlobe. Not only did I find a city and an apartment, but I found comfort in this move to a new and strange place. That would not have been possible without the help of the staff at TransGlobe Property Management.

My grandfather had a grocery store in the same neighborhood that I’m living in, the place where I’m raising a son myself. I might be a rare thing these days, being one who didn’t move around a lot like so many of my schoolmates have, and have happily settled in the same place I was born. I like the continuity of it, because it gives me a sense of place here that my immigrant grandparents only dreamed about. To think I might be living their dream can be a very humbling experience, so on my best days I try to do the kinds of things that would make them proud.

I’m not a stranger in the world I live in. I like and appreciate all the new technologies we have these days, and some of the things in this world tell me that things are better than they used to be. I have things that my parents passed down to me, as well as some modern conveniences, things like my hot tub. It’s one of my favorite possessions, because it gives me a place to relax and spend time with my family in the summer, and sometimes even in the colder months. My own online experience was terrific, and the people at choosehottubsdirect.com had a business ethic that I could really relate to.

I have some memories about my grandfather’s grocery, and how he would help out people in the neighborhood when times were tough. Sometimes he would even go into debt himself in order to lend a needy family much-needed food on the table. But what I liked most was seeing how he related to the customers. He never tried to get them to buy things they wanted, only what they needed. That was the same thing I sensed when I was looking for the hot tub, that the salespeople were there to help me figure out which set up would work best. It gives me a great sense of warmth to know there are still people like that in the world, and tells me we can move forward with the new technology at our disposal, and still carry through with the ideas that worked so well in the past.
